The NZ Bishops Conference have declared next Sunday 2nd October as a nationwide Day of Prayer and Promotion of Suzanne Aubert and her cause for sainthood. This will coincide with the 90th Anniversary of Suzanne’s death in 1926. It is our hope that Suzanne Aubert will eventually be declared as New Zealand’s first saint.

The month of October is the month of the Holy Rosary. As an observance, just as we did last year, the Rosary will be prayed in the church at 5.30pm on the following dates:
  • 3-7 October Morrinsville
  • 10-14 October Te Aroha
  • 17-21 October Paeroa
As part of our celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, we will be having the Days of Prayer for Mercy on 25, 26 and 27 October ( Te Aroha, Morrinsville and Paeroa). Please check flyers for details.

Still on the year of Mercy, we will have a parish Pilgrimage to Saint Joseph’s Church, Te Puna, one of the churches in the Hamilton Diocese with a Holy Door for this Jubilee Year. This will take place on Saturday, 29 October. For those interested, there is a paper in the foyer for you to sign up. Or you may contact Peter Farrelly 889 4443 (Morrinsville), Maggie Gribble 862 8633 (Paeroa) and Megan Paul 884 8925 (Te Aroha).
