Sunday 13th November 2016 | 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

This year has gone so fast! We are almost halfway through the month of November, and next Sunday we will be celebrating the Solemnity of Christ the King, which is the last Sunday in the Church’s Liturgical Calendar. Then we begin a new year in the Church, on the first Sunday of Advent. It’s going to be a busy time – with the schools’ end of year Masses and prizegivings, and the preparations in our churches for the Christmas season.

Before all these happen, I’m taking time off this week. So there will be No Masses during the week, but there will be a Liturgy of the Word with Communion (Tues-Friday at 10am).

As Christmas is fast-approaching, I would like to remind you of our Pre-Christmas Picnic Lunch in Morrinsville on Sunday, 11 December after the 11am Mass. This event is for all three parishes. There will be games, entertainment, food and lots of surprises! Hope to see you there!

Our prayerful sympathy to the family of Werner Fassler. A requiem Mass was held for Werner on Friday in Te Aroha. May our merciful Lord grant him the reward promised to good and faithful servants. Amen.

A blessed week to you all!
