In October of last year, Pope Francis announced that in October 2018 a Synod of Bishops would be held in Rome, focusing on the theme “Youth, Faith and
Vocational Discernment”. Sometime in January, the Holy Father wrote a letter addressed to young people in which he stated: “The Church also wishes to listen to your voice, your sensitivities and your faith; even your doubts and your criticism. Make you’re your voice heard, let it resonate in communities and let it be heard by your shepherds of souls”. Let us pray for the success of this Synod and for the welfare and faith of our young people, who will be the focus of this assembly of bishops from all over the world.

In view of this, I’d like to invite the youth in our Parish, year 11-13 students and young adults ages 18-35 to a youth gathering called SetFree which will be held on 7-9 April. For more details visit

With Ash Wednesday coming up in less than 3 weeks, can I ask you to bring to church your blessed palms from last year’s Palm Sunday celebration. A basket will be in the foyer for you to put in the blessed palms.

Our Sacramental Program for 2017 will start soon. Enrollment forms are available in the parish office, church foyer and at our school offices. The child has to be at least 8 years old already. Please attach a copy of the Baptismal certificate of the child.
