“Who is my Neighbour?” asked the scholar of the law, to whom Jesus told the Parable of the Good Samaritan in today’s Gospel reading. This is the inspiration of the Hamilton Diocese’s Strategic Plan “Who is My Neighbour?”, thus giving birth to the Parishes of the Holy Family. Last Sunday’s combined Parish Luncheon was held in the spirit of “Who is my Neighbour?”, an effort to foster camaraderie and nurture our sense of community.

Today, 27 children from the three parishes will have their Confirmation and First Holy Communion at the 9am Mass in Te Aroha which will be presided by Bishop Steve. Thanks to their parents and sponsors for their support. Also, I would like to thank the catechists who ran the Sacramental Programme in the parishes: Megan Paul [Te Aroha], Joan Pigou and Wendy Vollebregt [Morrinsville]

Our condolences to and prayer for the family of Rona Sheehan. A Requiem Mass for Rona will be held on Tuesday, 12th July in Te Aroha at 11.30am. There will be no 10am Mass on Tuesday. Lastly, for those who have not yet filled out a parish roll form, there are forms available in the foyer. Please fill out one for your family or do it online- click here.
